PopcornTime, one of the increasingly popular video-watching services out there, has just arrived on Android, capable of providing users with the same features and capabilities on their handsets as it has been doing on computers until now.

Coming from Time4Popcorn, the same people behind the service, the new Popcorn Time for Android application landed in the Google Play Store yesterday with version 1.0 attached to it, but in a beta state for the time being.

According to the development team, bugs will be fixed on a regular basis, and users should receive new updates daily until the app is completed.

Even so, the software can already provide users with access to a great deal of movies available over torrent websites out there, all in HD quality.

All that users need to do to enjoy Popcorn Time is to ensure they have a strong Internet connection, as well as a compatible device. They will be able to watch the movies as many times as they like, all for free.

The application will try to find the best version of a movie to stream it directly to the phone, and it will do so in HD resolution. Moreover, subtitles are also available for users to enjoy, and Chromecast support is set to arrive soon.

According to the application’s listing in Google Play, it should be compatible with all devices running Android 3.0 and up. However, Time4Popcorn notes on its website that the app has been released only for Android 4.3 and up.
