PopCap Games, the developer responsible for casual titles like Plants vs. Zombies or Bejeweled, is looking to recruit an experienced software engineer for an AAA console title that will run on the Frostbite 2 engine.

PopCap has specialized in lightweight downloadable games over the years, generating huge amounts of profit from the likes of Bejeweled or Plants vs. Zombies.

Now, the studio is looking to branch out under the new ownership of Electronic Arts, and has just posted a job listing for a software engineer.

According to the studio, the perfect candidate needs experience on building AAA console titles and should have already worked with the Frostbite 2 engine, which has been used on other titles from EA like Battlefield 3, NFS: The Run, or Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

As of yet, PopCap hasn't commented on this job listing so who knows just what the studio is working on, besides the already announced Plants vs. Zombies 2, which is out in spring of 2013.
