The operating system and the price aren't doing it any favors

Microsoft's Windows 8 is proving rather disappointing. Certain parties actually think it is acting as a discouraging factor to prospective customers.

Samsung's Ativ brand is used for part of the company's tablets.

The Ativ Tab RT was supposed to be shipping around the world by now, but a company spokesman revealed some worrying things at CeBIT 2013.

Not only is Samsung reluctant to sell it in the US, due to low shipments forecasts, but the company has also decided to pull it from Germany and other European countries.

The price of 580 Euro / $580-755 can't have won it any favors, but it is believed that the operating system is just as much to blame.

Some dealers have tablets still in stock, but further deliveries are unlikely at this point.
