Kit Harington steps outside the “Game of Thrones” universe, into fewer clothes

The full length trailer for the upcoming Paul W.S. Anderson movie, “Pompeii,” has been released and, trust me, never before was there better reason to fawn over Kit Harington aka Jon Snow of the “Game of Thrones” fame.

“Pompeii” is Kit’s first major leading role and, by the looks of the new trailer above, he will do his damned finest to save his lady love and do the honorable thing, all the while treating his female fans to several proper good looks at his impressive physique.

On a more serious note, if there’s one thing that Anderson knows how to make, that’s relatively small-budget action movies (compared to, say, “Transformers”-type of budget movies), with gorgeous actors, decent VFX, and ok story.

“Pompeii” looks the part and, besides Harington, also boasts Carrie-Anne Moss, Emily Browning, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Paz Vega as part of the cast, all of them struggling to escape from Pompeii as Vesuvius erupts.

Harington plays a slave, Milo, who falls in love with the daughter of a merchant.

While this isn’t the kind of movie that I would rush to see at the theater, it’s not offensively bad either. However, I wouldn’t expect some big-time blockbuster when it comes out in February 2014.
