Henrik Ruonala, of Stockholm, Sweden, found an abandoned Yorkshire Terrier puppy and took a picture of himself with a dog, trying to locate its owners.

The policeman posted the photo on the Skärholmen station Facebook page, for more exposure, the Daily Mail informs.

The picture received more likes than he bargained for, as 25,000 people, mostly women, viewed it and 1700 actually wrote comments, making this man the “it” bachelor in Sweden.

Ruonala had attached a heartfelt, sensitive message to the picture, that helped it reach viral status.

“Is there someone missing this little fellow, we found him Wednesday night and he is now at our police station,” he wrote.

“Too bad the guy in the picture is not missing, I could really think of taking care of him,” one woman posted.

The man replied that it wasn't even his dog, as he owns a Rottweiler.

“I have my own dog, he is a 4.5-year-old Rottweiler named Rex. I guess I have some explaining to do when I come home and meet him now,” he said.
