Tor creates problem again?

DUSSELDORF - The Police stormed into the house of an innocent man, turned it upside down to search for bombs and in the end nabbed the poor guy. Alexander Jansen is a German IT engineer and he was operating a TOR server when the Police thrashed his house, after they thought he was a terrorist. You would think that maybe he was a black-hatter or something like that, but you'd be wrong - this guy was just running the server and minding his own business. Thing is, each day, more than 40 GB of data passed through his Tor server. So, is that illegal or something? Not in the least, but a bomb threat has passed through an IP address under his control.

Do you think that the Police cared about the fact that he was running the server and that he had no actual connection with some threat that was posted on a forum? No, they didn't. Jansen told the law enforcers what his situation was and how things are different from what they look like, but they still raided the house like children searching for candy. Nothing escaped them and they scared the hell out of the engineer and his wife, as Jansen said on his blog. He has been released, now that the problem had been explained, but I'd sure hate to be in his shoes! There is no news if the person who actually sent the threat had been nabbed.

Eventually, this just proves I'm right. I had earlier stated that the Germans are security freaks, and here they go nabbing an innocent, because he might be related to terrorism. And then, I've also stated that a lot of people in Europe suffer from digital illiteracy and the cops' actions just prove that they didn't know too much about computers since the man did explain them the situation, but they still cuffed him.
