Police Investigate Sexual Assault at Playboy Mansion

One would think that, out of all the places on earth (save Larry Flynt's home, probably) where people can go, have fun and as much casual and meaningless sex as possible, without ever feeling guilty or embarrassed (and, even more, without people starting to point fingers and calling people sluts) would be Hugh Hefner's residence, the glamorous Playboy Mansion, where the man himself lives with his three main girlfriends and many other G-string-ed beauties.

Yes, for many, the Mansion is a place that seems to exist in another time and space dimension, a world of glamor, beauty and silicone breasts, where all the A-listers gather occasionally for Hugh Hefner's fancy parties. Although the cameras have rarely been allowed in this gentleman's paradise, the stories that abound about said parties only go to show that life can, indeed, be pretty cool for the stars.

However, despite the chic and relaxed attitude of Hefty and of his girls, the Mansion is now right in the middle of a police investigation concerning a sexual assault that took place on the premises this very weekend. Because of the notoriety of all those involved (indirectly, so far), the police are not about to reveal more about the ongoing investigation, but that much we know: over the weekend, the Midsummer Night's Dream pajama party took place and a minor incident was signaled to Hugh by one of the bodyguards and it was consequently dealt with.

The incident involved one of the female servers at the party who was approached by a man (not invited to the party) and possibly sexually assaulted, despite the fact that she already had a restraining order against him. It seems that, after the party was over, the woman went straight to the police and filed charges against the man and the investigation was launched. But, 'For reasons of law and confidentiality that are critical in such investigations, no additional information will be released', an LAPD spokesman said yesterday.

When the media tried to contact Hugh for more details on the case, he refused to comment. We can only believe that, had it been anything very serious, we would have learned about it. But keep an eye on this space for more.
