14 DAY TRIAL // The official app of Polaroid in the App Store, Polamatic, has just received a major update that adds a lot of new photo effects, filters, and text editing options that allow you to turn your iPhone photos into real Polaroid-like images.
Polamatic is a fun to use app designed to make you experience the magic offered by Polaroid cameras and give your photos a vintage look.
Dana Shakiba from Appadana Development (authorized Polaroid licensee and Polamatic developer) said, “Today, we’re excited to share Polamatic 4.0 - our largest update yet. It is inspired by our growing Polamatic community and their love for Polaroid - we went beyond just an iOS 7 redesign and fully rebuilt the app to better capture the essence of Polaroid and bring users an even more authentic digital experience.”
Polamatic 4.0 comes with 36 new image filters that allow you to add the classic Polaroid effect to any photo on your iPhone. These effects are inspired from actual Polaroid prints and come with softer edges, various color adjustments, and even emulsion streaks that were sometimes captured on Polaroid films.
In addition to that, the new version also features 36 authentic classic border formats made from high-resolution scans of actual Polaroid photos. Among these filters you can find a wide range of choices, from crisp white borders to more aged effects; these new filters will surely make your photos stand out.
Besides these new image filters and classic border formats, Polamatic 4.0 also adds new fonts and text editing options that give you the possibility to customize your pictures with multiple layers of text. The app comes packed with numerous options, including handwritten fonts that give a unique look and feel to your photos.
