A Polaroid-branded eReader? Here’s something that you don’t see every day. Or come to think of it you could, as the outfit has now decided to enter the digital book reader market.

Starting the offensive are three eReader models sporting 4.3, 7 and 9-inch displays, the smallest of these also featuring a resistive touchscreen as well as a full Web browser, support for video playback, and 4GB of storage.

The 7-inch and 9-inch models on the other hand drop the touchscreen and use a set of buttons for navigation and flipping pages.

Their built-in memory starts at 2GB and supports ePUB, PDF, and TXT files, but despite the OK specs, liliputing reports that their LCD panels are pretty much useless when you get them outside.

No information regarding pricing or availability was made public, but considering their reported performance we don’t know why anyone would bother waiting for these.
