A Kickstarter campaign has grabbed my eye, as it offers both old school and new generation ways to express yourself.

Andrew Gardner has invented the Polar Pen, created out of magnets. It works as both a pen and a stylus and it has already gathered over $280,000 (€209,000) in donations from 5,000 backers.

It consists of 12 cylindrical neodymium magnets stocked one on top of another and encompassing an ink cartridge.

The pen has been so popular, that the first production batch has sold out in 10 days. New items are now being promised to clients in November and February of next year.

The pens come in silver and gold, and can be attached to fridges or maps, and they are also cool to play around with.
