Some folks like to take their time and chat with their doctors when undergoing an examination. If you’re a polar bear cub, however, odds are you want the exam to be over as soon as possible, and cannot wait for the weird two-legged creatures handling you to return you to your mom.

The polar bear cub pictured above has recently undergone a vet exam at Germany's Zoo am Meer and, according to Zoo Borns, the entire experience was over in less than a third of a quarter of an hour.

Thus, it only took vets and staff at said facility four minutes to determine whether the cub is a girl or a boy, weigh it, vaccinate it, and reunite it with its mom, the same source details.

I don't want to keep you in suspense, so here is what you should know: the tiny polar bear is a girl, and, at the time of its exam, it weighed about 18 pounds (8.5 kilograms). It is healthy and active, and, should things go according to plan, it will make its public debut sometime in April or May.

Once this happens, visitors to Zoo am Meer will get to see it swimming in the pool inside the family's enclosure and exploring the great outdoors.

In case anyone was wondering, this cub was born on December 16 to mom Valeska and dad Lloyd. It has not yet been named but, the moment this happens, be sure you will learn about it here.
