Pokemon fans have done it again. It seems that Pokemon X and Pokemen Y for Nintendo 3DS have sold more than 4 million units around the world in just two days.

The set of games was the first one to launch simultaneously worldwide on October 12. Since then, Nintendo reported that they have exceeded previous titles by more than 70% in The Americas, Japan and Europe.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said that "The early response to Pokémon X and Pokémon Y not only reaffirms the ongoing passion of Pokémon fans, but also indicates that an entirely new generation of gamers is eager to experience the franchise for itself."

If one was to compare regional data from previous launches, Pokemon X and Pokemon Y would easily be declared the fastest-selling Nintendo 3DS games, ranking first place instead of the last Pokemon RPG titles.

Therefore, one can see how strong the brand is, having more than 245 million games sold all over the world.
