The teams at GameFreak and Nintendo in charge of Pokemon X & Y are delivering a patch for their recently launched titles, which is designed to eliminate the problems that gamers have had with saved games created in Lumiose City.

The problem was discovered soon after the game was launched and it means that players who load a bad save have their game and their 3DS locked up and need to abandon their progress.

The text of the patch, according to NeoGAF, states, “This update fixes a bug related to resuming your game after saving game data in Luminose City. It also improves the filtering feature within the Global Trade Station (GTS).”

Nintendo stated before the launch of Pokemon X & Y that it only planned to patch the two titles if game breaking bugs were reported.

The new game in the long-running series has already broken sales records.
