Pokemon White Version from Nintendo has managed to become the best-selling video game in the United Kingdom market in its first week on sales, with publisher Nintendo saying that it is the biggest launch the franchise has ever seen in the country.

The domination is complete with Pokemon Black Version coming in second place.

The two games are pretty much the same, delivering all new Pokemons for players to find, evolve and then use in battle but each comes with a small number of exclusive creatures that can be traded between players.

Fight Night Champion, the new boxing game from EA Sports, has also managed a very good performance in its first week on store shelves managing to get third place in the United Kingdom video game chart ahead of much more publicized rivals.

Bulletstorm, the first-person shooter from Electronic Arts and developer People Can Fly, has fallen from second place to fourth, but it shows that killing with skill still has an appeal while Killzone 3, the more traditional FPS design from Guerrilla Games that is exclusive to the PlayStation 3, has slipped from first place to fifth this week.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is in sixth coming from third while Just Dance 2 from Ubisoft managed to only drop two places this week, reaching seventh.

FIFA 11, the football simulation game from EA Sports, is also on its way down the chart, going to eight place from fourth last week while Dead Space 2 also followed the pattern of a three place drop to reach ninth.

Wii Party from Nintendo closes down the top ten while games like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds from Capcom are sliding down out of it.

Dawn of War II: Retribution from Relic has only managed to launch in seventeenth place.
