A teaser trailer for the upcoming Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire has just been released by Nintendo, showing the two legendary mascots, Groudon and Kyogre.

The recent success of the Twitch Plays Pokemon experiment, which allowed viewers to play older versions of Pokemon games, prompted Nintendo to exploit veteran gamers' nostalgia. As such, the Japanese video game giant is bringing back two classic Pokemon titles, Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire, making a comeback on the Nintendo 3DS handheld gaming console.

"Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire," the company stated during the reveal.

Although some of the wording on the announcement has caused some speculations among fans of the Pokemon series, the company has later confirmed that the two games will be complete remakes of the original Game Boy Advance games, released back in 2003.

Pokemon is the second most popular and profitable video game spawned media franchise, being surpassed only by Nintendo's other gargantuan franchise, Mario.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire will be available worldwide on the Nintendo 3DS, sometime in November 2014, allowing players to catch'em all all over again.
