Looks life our favorite critters are taking over the gaming market. As you've probably guessed, I'm talking about the Pokemon franchise, which has become once again the favorite gaming franchise in Japan.

The top 10 games sold classification from Media Create reveals that Pokemon Diamond for the Nintendo DS is the best sold game over the past week, with 123,572 units sold. The second place is also occupied by a Pokemon game, Pokemon Pearl this time, also for the Nintendo DS, but with 97,409 million sold.

Trailing in at number three, we find Kirby Squeak Squad, also on Nintendo DS, but with only 92,173 copies sold. New Super Mario Bros. closes the top five with 77,641 units, but comes after Fushigi no Dungeon: Furai no Shiren with 88,242 copies sold. This game has a really big chance of making it to the number one spot, as it has entered this classification right on the fourth position.

The Pokemon franchise has another representative in the top 10, right on the last place, but this time we are talking about a Wii game, Pokemon Battle Revolution. This Wii title managed to sell 67,607 units and is also a new entry.
