Pokemon Art Academy is coming to the Nintendo 3DS, allowing its users to learn how to draw various Pokemon from all across the media franchise's history, aided by a wide assortment of templates.

The 3DS exclusive application was previously only announced in Japan, where it's due to land on June 19, but courtesy of Nintendo Europe's official Twitter, we now have the confirmation of the western localization of Pokemon Art Academy.

The program challenges all fans of the Pokemon series to grab their stylus and start drawing on the Nintendo 3DS' touchscreen, learning how to draw their favorite Pokemon.

The application will feature 40 different lessons detailing how to draw and then paint illustrations of the most popular Pokemon, with step-by-step guides as well as tips and tricks and how-tos of Charizard, Fennekin, Fletchling, Oshawott, Pikachu, Torchic, and others.

Previous titles in the Art Academy series usually focused on classical fine art, but this one will focus entirely on cartoonish illustrations, coming with a ton of specific tools such as Markers and Outline Pens, as well as Quick Sketch and Free Paint modes, allowing players to take pictures with the 3DS camera and then import them.

For now, there is no word regarding the precise release date of Pokemon Art Academy in North America aside from this fall, but it will most likely be around the same date it reaches Europe.
