This pooch might just be the real-life Frankenweenie, people say

Only last week, a man in Paris was enjoying a quiet walk near a lake when he noticed that a patch of land close to the pedestrian path he was strolling on was shaking.

Immediately realizing that something was seriously off, Michon grabbed a shovel and started digging in this small patch of land. Needless to say that he was quite surprised when, after removing the soil, he came face to face with a Jack Russell terrier.

Apparently, the dog was buried in this location, most likely because someone decided that the animal was of no use to him/her and tried to get rid of it without causing a stir or having to go through the effort of finding it a new home.

After the Jack Russell terrier was rushed to the hospital, veterinarians found that, prior to its being buried, the dog had been poisoned.

Global Animal informs us that, as peculiar as it may sound, it can be argued that the poison somehow ended up saving the animal's life.

Thus, the ground in which this dog was buried only started shaking because the dog was convulsing, and this allowed Michon to find him and provide him with proper medical care.

According to the same source, veterinarians had to go to considerable lengths to rescue this unlucky dog.

Thus, they used hot water bottles to warm up its body, seeing how the animal was “completely cold” and “barely breathing.”

The good news is that the Jack Russel terrier, named Ethan, somehow recovered in about 24 hours, which is why some of the people who helped rescue the dog, and various animal lovers who got to hear its story, now refer to it as the real-life Frankenweenie.

“It’s extraordinary. We only see this in TV movies. He came back to life and without a scratch. It’s rather miraculous,” Michon commented on Ethan's recovery.

For the time being, the police is busy interrogating the dog's owners, whom they have managed to locate with the help of a microchip located in the animal's neck.

Although the owners argue that they gave the dog away prior to its being poisoned and buried, there are many who doubt their claims.
