The PROTab 26 Tablet from Point of View enjoys a new firmware, version 1.11, which will install Android 4.1, and possibly improve the device’s performance and functionality. Although there are no official release notes that we can talk about, we are able to tell you how to upgrade.

Bear in mind that you must be very careful and follow the steps exactly, so no irreversible damage is made to the 7" tablet.

So, before you start, make sure the item number on the back is “TAB-PROTAB26,” backup the important data, fully charge the battery, and disable the antivirus.

Afterwards, connect the tablet to the computer through a miniUSB cable and power off the device. Now press and hold the “back” button and at the same time press the reset button. When you hear the sound that announces that a device is connected, you can release the button.

From the Device Manager, select Update Driver Software for the Unknown device, select to browse manually, choose the “Driver/x64” (or x86 depending on your OS) from the downloadable zip file, and continue with the on-screen instructions.

After this is complete, run the “RKBatchTool.exe”, hit the FW Path button, select the img file from the Firmware folder, and select “Restore” – at this point the upgrade process is started, and it will complete when the “Restore Done Success <1> Fail <0>” message appears.

Finally, when the Rockchip Batch Tool is closed, the tablet will reboot (the first boot will take longer than usual because of the update), and the process is successful.

This said, follow the link below and download the latest firmware for your Android Tablet.
