In order to update the firmware, first make sure you own the correct device by checking the item number on the back of the tablet, and afterwards, make a backup of the important data stored on the device.
Now ensure that the tablet’s battery is fully charged and the AC adapter is plugged in, but also that the computer’s antivirus program is disabled (during the update). Afterwards, connect the PC to the tablet and power it off.
At this point, you have to press and hold the “+” button and press the “Reset” button once – this causes a typical connected device sound. In Device Manager, there will be an Unknown device, for which you must choose Update Driver Software and then browse manually.
From the Driver folder, found into the downloadable archive, choose either the x86 or x64 folder (depending on your system bit version), as well as the folder that matches your OS.
