The new firmware version doesn’t come with any official release notes whatsoever

Point of View has released a new firmware package targeted at its Mobii 741 3G tablet (TAB- P741), which may improve the overall performance and stability of the device.

Because there is no changelog available, I will explain how to apply this package so that the process is successful and the device doesn’t encounter any problems.

So, if you consider installing this file, first of all make sure you back up all your important information before starting, so that no data is lost in the update process.

Now, ensure that the battery is fully charged, shut down the device, and disable any antivirus program on your personal computer.

Install the “PhoenixSuitPacket_v1.0.6.msi” file by following the onscreen steps and, after it completes, from the firmware section, press the “Image” button, browse to the downloadable “TAB-P741_20130228.img” file, load it, and press “Upgrade.”

Be advised that, during the update, the screen remains black, and interrupting the process is not recommended. Doing so may cause the update to fail, and the device may suffer irreversible damage.

After the upgrade is complete, you will see a reloading battery animation; after it stops, power on the device as usual, and take note that the startup after an update may take longer than expected, so be patient and don’t interfere with the process.

That being told, follow the link below and download the firmware package that Point of View has made available for its tablet.
