Point of View, mostly known for its range of NVIDIA-based graphics cards, has recently introduced a new netbook, dubbed Mobii NB9010, coming as the company's second generation of Mobii mini-notebooks. The system is built as an alternative to other 10-inch netbooks on the market, providing users with three different color options.

As with most netbooks, currently available on the market, the new 10-inch Mobii NB9010 has been designed on the same Intel Atom platform that boasts the Atom N270 processor and support for a maximum of 1GB of DDR2 memory. In addition, the system is ready to deliver a storage capacity of 160GB, which can be extended through the use of an SD, MS or MMC memory card. The 10-inch display is capable of a maximum resolution of 1024 by 600 pixels, also integrating a 1.3MP webcam.

Additional features include a Wireless-G network, an integrated 10/100 Ethernet LAN, 3 USB 2.0 ports and a VGA output. According to Point of View, its new Mobii NB9010 netbook can also provide a vacant mini PCI-Express slot, designed for expansion slots. The system can be equipped with a 6-cell, 4400mAh battery, which is expected to provide the netbook with up to 4 hours of runtime. Unfortunately, Point of View hasn't detailed the specifications regarding the system's operating system, but it's likely that the Mobii NB9010 will be shipped with a flavor of Linux.

No word on pricing but POV said that the netbook was already available, providing users with a choice of three different colors, including “crystal white,” “shiny black” and “sunny yellow.” All models will be accompanied by a package that includes 2 years of pick-up and return warranty. In addition, POV said that it would release a new, complete line-up of European design accessories, including traveling bags, cover stickers and computer peripherals.
