With E3 still providing news, many might have missed the announcement made by Bethesda - that the penultimate piece of downloadable content for Fallout 3 would be arriving on June 23. The new pack is called Point Lookout and is set to allow fans of the post apocalyptic role playing game to explore a dark and marshy area near the Capital Wasteland.

Point Lookout is described by the publisher and developer as being the most open ended of the DLC packs, which is quite interesting, considering the amount of freedom that both The Pitt and Broken Sword had. Apparently, the DLC will feature one complete town over by the seaside and the player will have to unveil the mysteries that surround it (let's hope it's not cannibalism again).

There are new Achievements implemented specifically for the DLC and gamers will also be able to get their hands on a double barreled shotgun to play around with. Bethesda has not specifically stated the price point, but expect to pay the usual 800 Microsoft Points, which are the equivalent of 9.99 dollars.

The last piece of DLC for Fallout 3 will be called Mothership Zeta and Bethesda is planning to get it out sometime in July, completing the release cycle for the game. At the moment, players who are enjoying the game on the PlayStation 3 are waiting to get access to the initial DLC pack, Operation: Anchorage, which is set to arrive in June.

If you don't like the idea of paying Bethesda the equivalent value of a full new game for the five DLC packs it plans to give out, you can wait until October, when the publisher aims to release something called the Game of the Year Edition of Fallout 3, for the PC, the PS3 and the Xbox 360. It will include all the content for the game for the price of a normal release.
