Podcasting allows the automatic posting of programs and of audio/video files which can be ported afterwards on a portable multimedia device and played regardless of the user's location. Podcasting, iPod's latest usage, grows with each passing day, increasing in this way the player's market share. To podcast, all you have to do is upload music on a site, and the listeners interested in your preferences can check at all times through a special software, which synchronizes the content with the player, the latest titles added to your playlist. Adam Curry, an ex host for MTV, is the author of this solution which allows users to automatically receive programs and information on iPods or other digital audio players. The same Adam Curry will be the producer and host of a four hour radio show which will be airplayed every weekend starting with May 13 through Sirius Satellite Radio. Curry will select the material for �Adam Curry's PodShow" from thousands of shows made by amateurs. Sirius subscribers, who are paying a 12.95 USD/month fee, can listen to the show on channel 148, �Talk Central". Podcasts, audio files made created by amateurs, allow them to upload their work, giving users the possibility to download and listen the newest creations of a band looking for success, to teleport themselves into a club from a faraway corner of the world where a DJ is mixing, or to listen to hot talk between anonymous persons who discuss different topics. Once the materials are airplayed on the radio Podcasting will become an even wider spread phenomenon, and the number of receivers will grow exponentially. Young artists will have the possibility to be famous, the likelihood for a record company representative to listen to their material being very high.
