PodZinger is one of the powerful search engines that were dominated by the power of Google and Yahoo and remained only an anonymous search solution. PodZinger provides some innovative features for searching the internet, offering audio and video searching functions for returning multimedia content. The service is based on speech recognition and can search for words included in video and audio files.

"PodZinger is the world's most powerful audio and video search engine and online advertising network. PodZinger makes it possible for consumers to directly connect to their passions through multimedia search, lets content creators easily monetize their assets, and gives advertisers a uniquely targeted approach for delivering branded messages. Using speech recognition technology, PodZinger searches words within both audio and video, not just the metadata, to classify content based on topic and usage," the developers are describing the product.

Today, PodZinger announced a new incredible feature that will allow us to search for YouTube videos using the words that are pronounced inside the movie. At this time, the service is offering support only for entertainment, sports and anime but the company promises all the video service categories will be implemented soon.

"Now with this new PodZinger feature, you can access and search YouTube material allowing for more specific search of their user generated content. Now besides simply searching on the metadata of the video files, you can search for terms that are actually mentioned inside the audio, allowing for a greater likelihood you will find relevant material. We're also automatically organizing the videos into channels based on the actual content of the video," Joe Finley said on the PodZinger official blog.

Some time ago, Google developed an innovative way for allowing blind people to read news using the company's services. The search giant also introduced audio captchas, an audio alternative for the verification images that are required to enter a specific website.
