In January, 2014, the Consumer Electronics Show will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, as it does every year. Plextor will be on site with the M6 line of SSDs.

Said collection of solid-state drives will include 2.5-inch mSATA and M.2 PCI express SSD form factors.

That means we can expect anything from PCIe add-in storage boards to normal, rectangular drives encased in metal.

All of them will be made for consumer use and some for business PCs.

There will be a different range available too, though, for cloud computing. For servers as it were, as well as ATMs, POS, gaming, defense, and automotive applications.

Sadly, we don't know any specs or prices yet, or even availability dates. Plextor is keeping that info close to its chest until next year comes around.
