That means that there will be new server and workstation storage devices soon

Plextor may have a full range of consumer-oriented solid-state drives, flash drives and other storage equipment, but its presence on the enterprise front is scarce in comparison.

This will soon change. In a short press release, the company vowed to launch some solid-state drives suited for workstations, servers, data centers, etc.

The last product introduced by the company was the M5 pro line, a very fast (SATA 6.0 Gbps) and secure unit (256-bit AES encryption, True Protect dual-stage data debugging).

Because of that, we can assume that the enterprise products will be equally impressive, if not more so.

The main thing that Plextor needs to provide is long-term data reliability and drive endurance.

Strangely enough, the first models are expected to show up at CES 2013 (Consumer Electronics Show).
