Plex users on iOS should be glad to learn that any issues they may have experienced lately are likely to be resolved in the latest update, version 3.2, now available for free to all existing customers.

Plex Inc. says, “We've been hard at work since the last update, aiming to resolve the main issues experienced by some users since the recent filtering changes, and tracking down the last few remaining bugs with PlexSync.”

The updated app now uses paging when it requests content, which means faster loading and filtering. According to the developers, users with large libraries should see a huge difference in performance.

In version 3.2, you can now remotely start and control playback from other Plex apps on the network, and the app now pops out an alert whenever you attempt to play missing or unavailable content.

Numerous performance and reliability improvements have been made in the synchronization department. A bug that caused content to be deleted when syncing over a slow network connection has been fixed, and the Retry Sync button now works as expected, says the changelog. Other changes are also included.

Plex 3.2 is a free update to all existing users, while newcomers will pay $4.99 / €4.49 for the app.
