Plex, the application that allows Windows Phone users to stream their multimedia content, such as photos, videos and music from their PCs directly on their handsets, has just been updated with new features and lots of improvements.

First of all, Plex for Windows Phone has finally received support for transparent Live Tile. In addition, the HTTP Live Streaming stack has been updated. These are the new features included in this update, but let's see what UI changes the new version features.

Well, it appears that the alphabet jump list for movie, show and music section has been added, along with the option to save last applied filters and sorts for each library section.

Users will now be able to play all albums with the click of a button that can be found on the artist’s page. A number of bugs in the Semantic Zoom implementation have been addresses as well, along with some issues with synced content.

Speaking of bug fixes, developers have also confirmed that they have addressed an issue with sync transfers that might fail on IPv6 networks.

The good folks at Plex have also added the possibility to log transfer rates for sync transfers. Last but not least, a number of user-reported crashes have been fixed as well.

You can now download Plex for Windows Phone 1.6.4.4 for $0.99 (€0.49) via Windows Phone Store. Keep in mind that the application is fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
