Plex Media Server, a software that makes it easy for everyone to play movies and TV shows on the computer, is now at version 0.9.9.12 and is available for download.

Plex Media Server has been designed from the ground up to work automatically in a home network with a variety of devices, like an LG 2011 Netcast TV, Plex Client for Mac OS X, or numerous mobile devices like iPhone, iPad, or Android ones.

According to the changelog, the server no longer crashes when handling concurrent HTTP connections, uploading CloudSync files no longer crashes the server, a massive speedup has been registered for paged queries (50-100x faster per page for larger libraries), support for composite thumbs has been added, a failure to load agents on ARM NAS devices has been corrected, notifications are only sent to the admin user over websocket, and TheMovieDB is now placed above Freebase.

Keep in mind that Plex Media Server has two versions, a free and a premium one. Usually, the premium version updates before the free one but, eventually, all the changes end up in the same branch.
