Microsoft won't forgive those who are playing Halo 4 early

Microsoft has begun taking action against those who’ve started playing Halo 4 before its launch, on November 6, and is now permanently banning Xbox Live accounts who have registered this activity.

Halo 4 is supposed to appear on November 6 but, just like with previous installments, retail and downloadable copies have started leaking all over the place, with plenty of Xbox 360 owners bragging over the weekend about their pre-release copies.

Microsoft has confirmed that it’s going to investigate these claims and take action against those found guilty of leaking, distributing, or even playing Halo 4 before its launch.

These actions, according to a thread on Reddit, involve permanently banning anyone who played Halo 4 from Xbox Live.

As such, while it may sound like a great idea to play a game before anyone else, it’s not worth risking your Xbox Live account, especially if you bought digital games or content with it, as you won’t be able to access them anymore.
