Owners of iPhones and iPads out there will be able to enjoy yet another highly popular mobile game on their devices starting with the next week, as Playdead has already confirmed plans to make Limbo available for them.

The atmospheric adventure title will be released on iOS on July 3 with a price tag of $4.99 (about €3.83 / £3.20) attached to it, it seems.

The company has sold over three million copies of its game on Mac, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, eurogamer.net reports. The title is being built for iOS by Playdead themselves.

"We have worked very hard to bring Limbo to as many devices as possible; rethinking the controls and performing extensive optimisations to ensure an amazing touch-based experience across iPad 2 (and higher), iPad Mini, iPhone 4S (and higher) and the latest generation of iPod Touch," a Playdead spokesperson reportedly said.
