Former Teen Bride is shut down in very public, embarrassing manner

Courtney Stodden has already tried music and acting to launch a career in showbiz, capitalizing on the 15 minutes in the spotlight she got for marrying 51-year-old Doug Hutchison when she was just 16. By the looks of it, she stands no chances of making it as a glamor girl.

A few days ago, Courtney, who earned for herself the nickname of Teen Bride after the much mediated marriage (whose validity many continue to doubt, saying it was just a PR stunt to get her name out there), turned 18.

Various reports online claimed that, now that she was of legal age, she might expand her career otherwise than in music or TV, namely, in adult films.

Courtney herself confirmed the rumors, saying on her Twitter page that she would never consider such an alternative – but she’d gladly do Playboy.

The problem is, the famous men’s mag doesn’t want her, TMZ reports.

Insiders with the publication tell TMZ they know of Courtney’s hope of gracing the pages of the mag one day, but it will never happen because she’s below their standards.

“According to our Playboy sources, no offer has been made to Stodden nor will one EVER be made. Our sources say Stodden ‘doesn't meet the standards of a Playboy model,’ adding she looks too ‘enhanced’,” TMZ reports.

The irony of this is that, ever since she shot to unexpected international fame, Courtney has been working overtime to convince basically everyone that she never had anything done, that she was 100% natural, from hair to lips to breasts and fingernails.

“One source added, ‘[Playboy] would NEVER take her. I don’t think anybody really wants to see that anyway’,” TMZ further reports.

One thing comes to mind right now: oh snap!

As it happens, even Courtney’s own mother was lobbying for her to get the Playboy gig a short while ago, as this piece in the Daily Mail can confirm.

She called the mag a classy one that helped many a young, ambitious and gorgeous girl get her career start. Courtney was planning to be one of them.

“Playboy, we have a lot of respect for. There have been a lot of wonderful women who posed for Playboy that have gone on to do really great things. [Courtney's] not ruling that one out at all,” Stodden’s mother said at the time.
