Sony has talked about its upcoming PlayStation Vita handheld console and how the number of pre-orders received for the new device are "substantial."
Sony's getting ready to push out the
PlayStation Vita on the Japanese market on
December 17, and will deploy it for the North American and European ones this
February.
While many are certainly impressed with the Vita's power, not a lot are convinced it's going to be that successful, at least with its starting price of $250 (250 Euros).
That's not quite right, as Sony's director of hardware marketing, John Koller, has revealed to
All Things D that demand is quite high, with the number of pre-orders being "substantial."
He also mentions that Sony has certainly ramped up production in order to make sure there's going to be enough Vita units to go around when it will be released all over the world.
