Sony has confirmed during its PlayStation Gamescom 2013 press conference that the price of the PS Vita handheld console is going down to 199 USD and EUR starting tomorrow, August 21.
The PS Vita has been around for over a year and, while the handheld console is quite powerful and received many great games, it didn't reach the success Sony had hoped for.
As such, the Japanese company tried to implement a variety of bundles and deals to promote its portable device.
Now, during Gamescom 2013, Sony revealed that the price of the PlayStation Vita is going to drop to just $199 or €199, depending on the region.
What's more, besides this great price cut, the console's memory cards will also get “significant discounts” according to Sony itself.
The price cuts are going live tomorrow, August 21, worldwide.
