Sony has presented a special deal for fans of the upcoming PlayStation Vita from North America, as a special First Edition bundle will be made available a week before the official February 22 release of the console.

Sony is getting ready to debut the PlayStation Vita in its native Japan, on December 17, and confirmed last week that European and North American customers will be able to get their hands on the device on February 22.

Now, as a special deal, Sony has confirmed that a PlayStation Vita First Edition bundle is available for pre-order at select retailers in the USA and Canada, which packages together not just a new console but also accessories like a limited edition case, a memory card, and even a game, in the form of Little Deviants.

More specifically, for U.S. customers, the bundle includes: a PS Vita 3G + Wi-Fi model, a limited edition case, 4GB PS Vita Memory Card, and a Little Deviants game, all for $349.99 (around 246 Euros). In Canada, the PlayStation Vita 3G + Wi-Fi model is replaced with just a Wi-Fi one, and includes all the same accessories highlighted above as well as the game, for $299.99 (around 211 Euros).

What's really special about this PlayStation Vita First Edition bundle is the fact that it's going to be released for those who pre-ordered a full week earlier than the regular model. As such, instead of waiting until February 22, those who pre-order will be able to start gaming on their Vita on February 15, 2012.

We've already talked about the Vita's upcoming release in Japan, and how according to some reports, some features might not make it in time. Hopefully, Sony will be able to add in all the features it has announced for the game before its release in Europe or North America this February.

Expect more news about the Vita, as well as if this First Edition bundle might be made available in Europe, as we get closer to its launch date.
