The Vita finally has support for PSone Classics and other features

Sony is getting ready to debut a brand new firmware update for its PlayStation Vita handheld console, this time taking the device’s software to version 1.80 and bringing all sorts of new features, like support for PSone Classics.

The PS Vita has been around for quite some time and, while sales haven’t exactly broken records, Sony is continuing to support its small handheld by releasing new applications and features.

After a lengthy wait, support for PSone Classics is finally coming to the PS Vita through the release of firmware 1.80 later today.

In order to highlight all the things included in the new software version, Sony has now posted a video presentation of its various features.

Besides that, the company also revealed what actual PSone Classics would be released onto the PS Store for the Vita. These are: Arc the Lad, Cool Boarders 2, Final Fantasy VII, Hot Shots Golf 2, Jet Moto, Syphon Filter, Tomb Raider, Twisted Metal 2, and Wild Arms.

Firmware 1.80 for the PS Vita is out later today. Until then, check out the video below.
