Vita owners are already being annoyed by Sony with software updates

Barely has the PlayStation Vita handheld console been released in Japan and already Sony has pushed a firmware update for the device, taking it to version 1.50.

Japanese gamers eagerly awaited December 17, as Sony finally released the PlayStation Vita portable console, after hyping it up with a passion in the last few months.

Sadly, it seems that new Vita owners, besides being affected by several technical issues, are already facing a constant annoyance, just like PS3 or PSP owners, as a firmware update has already been released by Sony for the device.

While no details are known about this new software, the 1.50 firmware is a mandatory update that needs to be installed if you want to go online with the device, so new owners don’t have much of a choice.

Expect the European or North American Vita models to already have this new firmware installed as standard, although who knows what other updates Sony will release until February, when the Vita is released in the rest of the world.
