Gamers will be able to link it to the PlayStation 4

The development team in charge of the launch of the PlayStation TV device in the West announces that there are close to 700 video games that can be played on it as soon as it is released, including entries on some of the most popular franchises created by Sony.

The official announcement says that gamers can enjoy experience like Killzone: Mercenary, Persona 4 Golden, and Metal Gear Solid.

Sony adds, "I’m pleased to announce that Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom from Little Orbit will also be available in November for PS TV (as well as PS Vita). Our library will continue to expand, with other fan favorites like Minecraft and more. We’re proud to bring such a broad array of content from multiple PlayStation platforms to PS TV, a small console at a great value."

PlayStation TV will be offered on October 14 in the United States and one month later in Europe and can be bought for 99.99 dollars or Euro on its own or for 139.99 dollars or Euro in a bundle which also includes a DualShock 3 controller, a 8 GB memory card and the LEGO Movie Video Game.

The PlayStation Now streaming service will be offered in the future on the new device and those who own a PS4 can also use it to stream content.
