PS Plus subscribers can now access 12 games for free on the PS3

Sony has overhauled the PlayStation Plus service and is now offering its premium members access to a collection of free games, including big titles like Infamous 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Just Cause 2 or Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.

The PlayStation Plus service offered some pretty sweet benefits to PlayStation Network members, ranging from free games each month to special discounts, entry into exclusive beta stages, and much more.

Now, Sony is making a few changes to the service and will reward PS Plus subscribers with access to a collection of free games that’s going to get bigger and bigger as time goes by.

“Starting with today’s PlayStation Store update, PlayStation Plus will deliver an instant game collection to all members,” Sony said.

“Starting with 12 blockbuster titles worth over $260 – including inFAMOUS 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Saints Row 2, Just Cause 2, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – PlayStation Plus members will now have a library of games to play in addition to exclusive features like online game saves, automatic updates, priority access to betas, and the best discounts on games, DLC, and other content on the PlayStation Store – all for less than $5 a month,” the company added.

As of right now, 12 games are available as free downloads and Sony promises to keep on adding more titles in time.
