Sony announced early this month that its PlayStation Now service would be generally available to anyone owning a PlayStation 4 in North America on January 13.

As expected, the service has gone live and those who want access to a library of more than 100 PlayStation 3 games and are willing to pay for it can do so beginning today.

Two subscription plans are available for PlayStation 4 owners in North America who want to benefit from PlayStation Now services: one month for $19.99 or a three-month package for $44.99 (around $15 per month).

In case you’re not sure that you want to pay that amount to play PlayStation 3 games on your PS4, fret not as Sony allows anyone interested in PlayStation Now service to try it for free for a week.

The 7-day free trial is available through the PlayStation Store and as long as you have a valid account you can take advantage of it and see if it’s really worth paying for Sony’s PlayStation Now.

A 7-day free trial is available for PlayStation 4 users as well

On top of the 7-day free trial, PlayStation 4 users are offered a free PlayStation Now theme, which can be downloaded right now. There’s also a competition where you can win a one-year subscription to PlayStation Now.

In order to enter this competition, you only need to download the PlayStation Now theme before January 31 and you will be automatically entered into the drawing for a chance to win the one-year subscription.

Moving on to the list of games that PlayStation Now subscribers will be able to access, it’s worth mentioning that there are a lot of smash hits and AAA titles that have been very popular on PlayStation 3, including Shadow of the Colossus, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, God of War HD, NBA 2K14, inFamous and many more.
