The company announced PSN should now be accessible to all

It’s been almost 5 days since many PlayStation owners have been able to log in to PlayStation Network or play their favorite multiplayer game. PSN and Xbox Live have been under siege for almost 20 hours on Christmas day, but Microsoft was capable of bringing its services back online soon after hackers’ attacks.

That’s not the case for Sony PlayStation Network services which, 5 days after the DDoS attacks, are still not working for many console owners.

Even though a temporary solution was found a few days ago, which should allow players to log in to PlayStation Network, the workaround does not work for everyone.

Moreover, Sony announced several hours ago that PlayStation Network services had been fully restored and that we shouldn’t have any issues to log in and play whatever we want to play.

Once again, that’s not the case for many PlayStation owners who are still struggling to log in to PlayStation Network. The newest advice provided by PlayStation support team is that players should reboot their consoles and try to log in again.

You may not believe it, but for a small percent of those who were unable to log in to PlayStation Network prior to rebooting their consoles this solution worked, but many are still unable to access any PSN services.

Sony is still scant on offering details for PSN still not working for everyone

One of the reasons many can’t yet log in to PlayStation Network might be the fact that lots of people are trying to connect to PSN at the same time.

However, Sony did not offer any explanation on the matter just that players might experience interruptions due to the high levels of traffic.

Apparently, Microsoft did not have any issue restoring Xbox Live services as soon as the DDoS attack ended 4 days ago, but Sony does look to be miles away from getting its PSN back online.

It will be interesting to see how Sony will compensate PS+ subscribers for this outage, if the company plans to do that at all.

Did you manage to log in to PlayStation network yet? Did you use one of the temporary fixes or you just rebooted your console as Sony advised? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
