Sony has just released a new version of its PlayStation application for Android devices, which allows users to see what their friends are playing, compare trophies and view profiles or recent activity.

The latest update brings a new feature called “Live from PlayStation and adds playback of video in notifications from PS Store support. Keep in mind that these notifications will appear under “What's New.”

According to developers, the latest version of the application will no longer automatically connect to a PlayStation 4 system that is in standby mode. Last but not least, some under the hood changes are said to improve stability.

You can now download PlayStation App for Android 1.60.5 for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
