The developers at Sony announce that they have created 8 bit art powered versions of famous fighting game moments using the characters from PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale in an effort to promote the game.

The artist behind the new art is Aled Lewis and Sony has also offered a video showing exactly how he translated the characters from PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale into movie scenes.

The new game allows players to choose from a number of characters that appeared in famous PlayStation games and then battle up to four of their friends in a variety of arenas, relying on superpower to take them out.

The game is available both on the PlayStation 3 and the Vita from Sony and gamers who buy the game will get both versions in order to be able to activate the cross-play features.
