The long-awaited beta stage for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale begins for PlayStation Plus members today, October 16, in North America, and tomorrow, October 17, in Europe. Regular PS3 and PS Vita owners will be able to try it out next week, on October 23/24.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is out next month and already developer SuperBot Entertainment has revealed a wide array of details about the fighting game, including a full list of characters and stages that are present in it.

Now, ahead of its launch in November, the studio is organizing a beta stage for PlayStation All-Stars, allowing PS3 and PS Vita owners a chance to try out the fighting game.

The beta will be available for download via the PlayStation Store today, October 16, in North America, and tomorrow, October 17, in Europe, but only for PS3 owners who have a PlayStation Plus. PS Vita users, however, don’t have such a restriction, so they’ll also be able to try it out today or tomorrow, depending on their location.

All PS3 owners will be given access to the beta stage next week, on October 23/24.

Check out a full list of fighters, stages, and options included in the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale beta below.

- You’ll be able to play as Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, PaRappa and Fat Princess. - You’ll be able to play in both the Metropolis and Hades stages. - You’ll be able to try out four-player online tournaments and 2 vs 2 online tournaments. For the 2 vs 2 games we’ll be supporting friend invites, so you and a friend can fight another team online.

“This, of course, is only a tiny fraction of what PlayStation All-Stars has to offer, but we thought you’d love the chance to try it early and see what all the buzz is about. This beta is also really helpful for us as it allows us to load test the servers before releasing the game,” the game’s developer said.

The PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale beta will end on October 30, so you might want to try it out as soon as possible.

The actual game will be released on November 20, in the U.S. and November 21, in Europe and the rest of the world, for the PS3 and PS Vita. Until then, check out the video of the beta below.
