It seems that the development team at Naughty Dog and publisher Sony are working to create and launch a full collection for the Uncharted series, aimed at the new PlayStation 4 home console, which will include all content ever created for the universe.

Launch is set to take place before the end of the year, and an official announcement about the product could be made during the coming E3 2014 event.

Information quoted by NeoGAF reveals that gamers who pick up the new Uncharted collection will be able to play:

Uncharted Drake's Fortune Uncharted 2 Among Thieves Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception Uncharted: Golden Abyss Uncharted: Fight for Fortune

The games were previously delivered either for the PlayStation 3 home console or the PlayStation Vita handheld, and remaking them for the new platform probably means that fans will get improved graphics quality.

It’s unclear whether the collection will include all the downloadable content and bonus packs that were previously launched for the titles or if Sony also plans to reactivate multiplayer for them all or simply deliver the narrative elements.

The rumor does not say who is handling development for the new game package for the PlayStation 4 and how involved Naughty Dog is.

The studio has confirmed that it is actively working on an entirely new Uncharted title for the PS4, which might introduce major changes to both the gameplay and the story of the franchise.

No details have been offered so far, but the development team has promised that all fans will be impressed by the quality of the new experience.

At the same time, Naughty Dog and Sony are working on the project of an Uncharted movie, which finally seems to be gathering momentum after a series of false starts.

The most recent title from the company was The Last of Us, which was offered exclusively on the PlayStation 3, and it seems that chances for a sequel currently stand at 50 percent.

The Uncharted series was first launched in 2007 and was praised for the adventure and character-driven story and its seamless blend of exploration and combat.

Naughty Dog has earned a dedicated fan-following, and a collection of all the titles in the series that were launched will certainly generate solid sales for Sony.

The company has a large array of classic franchises that were only offered on the PS3, and it will be interesting to see how it moves them to the new home consoles.
