Sony's commercial overtook many other ads that appeared on YouTube

The PlayStation 4 video released by Sony right after the reveal of its new console was the most watched ad on YouTube during the month of February, beating a wide array of other commercials including many that were showcased during the Superbowl at the beginning of the month.

Ads can reach out to a variety of people online and plenty of brands host them on their YouTube pages, hoping to draw in new customers.

While February was a big month for commercials on YouTube, as the Superbowl saw the release of many great ads, the most-watched video is actually one featuring the PlayStation 4.

Sony's brand new console received the video on February 20, weeks after the Superbowl commercials, but it quickly got over 26 million views, surpassing Samsung's Next Big Thing video that earned 21 million.
