14 DAY TRIAL // Jonathan Blow, the leader of the development team working on The Witness, says that the hardware specifications for the recently announced PlayStation 4 next-gen console from Sony are better than those leaked for rival Xbox 720 from Microsoft.
The developer tells Kotaku that “I don’t have good communication with anyone at Microsoft right now, and haven’t been disclosed on their next console, but all our technical people like the PS4 specs a lot more than the leaked Durango specs.”
Blow also says he believes that Sony will have a better working relationship in the long term with the indie game community.
He received access to a development kit for the PlayStation 4 which allowed him to evaluate the device, and he made the decision to bring The Witness to the new platform during its launch window.
