The PlayStation 4 was launched on February 22 on the Japanese market and it seems that the home console from Sony has managed to perform very well since then, moving no less than 322,083 units to eager gamers.

The information comes from VG247, which quotes Japanese magazine Famitsu, and it seems that the figure could rise quickly in the coming days as interest in the platform remains very high.

Sony has also announced that the PlayStation 4 managed to move 5.3 million units to gamers before February 8.

Supply for the device is likely to remain limited until at least April as gamers continue to move fast to secure the units as they appear in stores.

The PlayStation 4 is the only one of the next-gen devices that’s now available on all major markets and Microsoft has not yet said when it plans to launch the Xbox One in Japan.
