14 DAY TRIAL // The new PlayStation 4 home console from Sony has managed to sell 250,000 units on the United Kingdom market in the first 48 hours after the November 29 launch, becoming the fastest selling device that Sony released.
The information comes from Chart-Track via MCV and the tracking company also says that the overall value of all the device sold has reached 87 million British Pounds, the equivalent of 142 million dollars (105 million Euro).
Microsoft has not offered solid sales numbers for the Xbox One, which launched on November 22, but analysts are estimating that it managed to move 150,000 consoles to players.
The PlayStation 4 is cheaper than the Microsoft device on all markets, which could have contributed to its bigger sales.
Sony has said that it wants to reach the biggest possible audience with its new console and the titles launching alongside it.
